Explore the wonders of Portuguese cuisine and the history behind its flavors, without missing out on the most remarkable sites of Lisbon!
OUR ADVENTURE ITINERARY:
Starting at Praça do comércio in Lisbon (our meeting point) we will get immersed in the wonders of Portuguese cuisine and the history behind its flavors.
We’ll have about 5 stops, with 10 tastings for you to try the best local dishes and delight your taste buds! In between the food stops, we’ll be able to visit remarkable stops in the city and learn about the history and culture of the neighborhood.
• If there’s one thing that the Portuguese know how to do right, it’s pastries! And at the top of our list is the famous pastel de nata, also known as the Portuguese custard tart which we love to combine with a Portuguese expresso at any time of the day!
• There’s a few centenary shops around downtown Lisbon that we just can’t ignore. And there’s no better way to prove this than by stopping at one of these gems to have some Port wine tastings and a nice selection of Portuguese cheese & hams!
• We bet you’re curious about “Ginjinha” (and how you really pronounce it)! So let’s go to one of the oldest places in town to try it and cheer all together!
• Have you heard Portuguese have about 365 recipes to cook codfish? That’s no joke. So let’s sit down, try one of those, and learn why codfish is a big part of our gastronomy while we sip some green wine!
• Time for the Bifana (Portuguese sandwich) to steal the show! This simple yet delicious sandwich is considered a national dish of Portuguese street food and is enjoyed by locals from north to south! Always followed by a Portuguese beer, which means we get to cheer together one more time!
